Water-related serious games during Design Thinking processes

Analysing how water-related serious games can be described according to its application during each Design Thinking phase (discovery, definition, development and delivery).

Many actors must be involved in water management decisions to make the process more democratic and inclusive. This study focus on the applications of serious games – those that have another purpose besides entertainment – during a Design Thinking process to discuss about water policies. The main goal of the essay is to analyse how water-related serious games can be described according to its application during each Design Thinking phase (discovery, definition, development and delivery). The sum of Design Thinking and serious games have been proven to be a successful tool to discuss and reach agreements regarding environmental actions. This study can be useful for those who want to see the strengths of some water-related serious games during each phase of Design Thinking processes.
